Welcome! Thank you for privileging me with the opportunity to present some of my ideas. I want to tackle the notion of potions. Generally, people view them as nothing but entangled with the idea of prayer and swiftly raising your levels for a cheap minute. I want to open people’s thoughts to a more wide viewpoint- there is so much potential for Herblore and the future of potions. I was inspired to create some potions that would latch at the lower levels as well implicate a connection with veteran potion makers as well.
There are advantages within the capacity of the Herblore system that can make potion-making even more beneficial to the progressive adventurer. I see one of the main flaws in potions is that they’re not easily shown through entrance with a better gaming experience. They usually damper the mood. So, what would happen if some newer potions became more environmental-reachable instead of just standing at the Grand Exchange-profitable?
1: Daddy Longlegs’ Poison
————————
What it is: A more simple, low-level poison based off of the myth that daddy longlegs are actually the most poisonous spiders, but are rather incapable of infecting anyone because their mouth is too small to penetrate anything like human beings. The poison is strictly capable to attach to bronze through rune weaponry and degrades after time, eventually ceasing to be any longer on that weapon. If someone is inflicted with the poison by such weapon, there is no cure besides the Guthix Rest Tea. Higher level runrscape money players would not find this as bad because this is a very low level poison and would most likely not impose a threat unless threatened with outstanding strategy.
How to make: You will need to collect three poison glands and Snape Grass. To collect a daddy longlegs’ poison gland, you must first kill a daddy longlegs (perhaps found in the HAM ruins west of the Lumbridge Castle), and pierce a needle through their corpse. You will then have to put the three glands with the Snape Grass to form the poison. Snape Grass is found right next to the Crafting Guild, so creating this would be free and not any harder than making the poison in the old Romeo and Juliet quest.
